Are you considering installing a new gas fireplace or remodeling an existing fireplace?

If you feel overwhelmed and confused – you wouldn’t be alone. Many people put off a fireplace project for YEARS because even though it’s just one area of a room – it can start to take on the feeling of a bigger project. There are no shortage of decisions you’ll need to make:

  1. Plumbing / Gas or Propane, installation, location and specs
  2. Framing
  3. Hearth
  4. Venting
  5. Aesthetics (cladding, mantel, TV)

You will need to hire several different sub-contractors to get the job done.

And gas fireplaces today are fairly technical and have many other things to consider:

  • combustible clearances
  • smart features
  • energy requirements
  • aesthetics

Just the aesthetic decisions alone will make your head spin. Will you have a hearth? Will the hearth be low – or raised for seating? What will the hearth material be made out of? Will you clad the wall in stone? Or tile? Or a solid slab? Do you want a mantel? How high should the mantel be? What if you want to mount a TV over the fireplace? Is that safe? How high should the TV be? What size TV should you get? I think you’re getting the idea.

Are you overwhelmed yet? Don’t be. We are happy to help with all of these decisions and assist you with keeping the project moving forward. We have been designing custom fireplaces since 2015 and have a tried and true process to make this as stress free as possible.
